Its founder, László Majoros, has been involved in viticulture since childhood and places special emphasis on expressing the authentic character of Tokaj’s terroir, particularly around the village of Tarcal.

The winery is located in the area of Tarcal and is one of the smallest yet most noteworthy family-run estates in the Tokaj region. It focuses on producing high-quality wines with an emphasis on the traditional Tokaj varieties: Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Sárga Muskotály.
It is renowned for its meticulously crafted sweet wines, as well as for the dry wines it produces, which are steadily gaining the attention of wine enthusiasts around the world. from which our new wines of the Majoros estate are produced, is located in the heart of the renowned Tokaj wine region in northeastern Hungary. It is a historic settlement closely linked to the creation of the legendary Tokaj wine, considered one of the world’s most celebrated sweet and dry wine styles.
It is a picturesque village with historical landmarks, such as old churches and traditional buildings, rich cultural heritage, and beautiful natural surroundings that attract not only wine lovers but also admirers of nature and history.
Wine production in Tarcal dates back to the Middle Ages. The area is renowned for its unique microclimate and volcanic soil, which provide ideal conditions for cultivating the grapes used to make its famous sweet wines. A defining chapter in the region’s history is the development of Tokaj Aszú, the celebrated sweet wine known as the “wine of kings.”
